I design software systems and I answer for them.

I work as CTO and CISO, which means architecture decisions and security decisions land on the same desk. That combination changes how you weigh both: a design that is elegant but hard to defend is not a good design, and a control that is airtight but unusable never survives contact with a delivery schedule. Most of what I find worth writing about lives in that tension.

This site is where I write about it. Not tutorials, and no longer a running prototype attached to every piece. Design decisions with the options I discarded and why. Threat models of architectures, starting with AI agent systems, where the trust boundary is still an open problem. Critical readings of whole categories of tools: what they promise, what they deliver, where they stop. Every piece takes a position, and says which options were left on the floor.

The tutorials have not disappeared, they have a different address. Numerical methods, computational mathematics and the code that goes with them live on Computational Mindset, which exists for exactly that.

Thirty years in, the thing that still interests me is the same one: the moment a technical choice meets a constraint that is not technical at all, and has to give somewhere.
